When looking at this issue, it seems to be easy as pie, but honestly it isn't. Alot of the players who recommenced a product usually don't make a good argument on why that product should be used other then they feel it's the best product. In this discussion, it focuses on several programs and techniques used that help slow down the botting to a trickle.
The Programs used:
HackSheild
-Getting the Pro or Plus+ versions of the software would be highly recommended. The Hacking tools and blocking detection and Data File Encryption features are the two that really will put the nail in the coffins of the bots.
Vanguard
- Still looking for an official site, but over all, the features offered are similar to HackShield's.
GameFort
- As far as I can see right now, the application offers high level encryption and the ability to block Bots, track additional macros and add-on's (like the Troy macro), Resolve client side application hack's/modifications and helps monitor for packet sniffers
In all, there are many applications out there we can use, but if Gravity wants iRO to be apart of it's gaming line up, you all are going to have to invest in applications to help cut down on the botting.
If there are and there should be other applications out there, that we can discuss, please post them.
PS: For anyone who says Product X wont work because they've hacked it, remember most of those applications to crack the current level of encryption of any of the main stream applications ARE NOT OPEN SOURCE. Its like cracking CS5 Master Collection and cracking Windows 7 Bit Encryption or Removing Lo-Jack for Labtops off of a stole Labtop. One is insanely easy, you just down load the torrent, the other two require more technical expertize and funding in order to do.
